Sr. Systems Administrator (SSA) is responsible for planning, designing and managing redundant and scalable IT infrastructure. This position requires having an expertise of capacity planning for IT systems and resource / team. This position requires strong leadership and mentoring skill to ensure that the team is skilled and motivated to support the IT systems across the time zone. SSA should ensure that compliance and governance practices are followed / enforced / adhered at the organization level as well for each assigned project. This requires experience of 7+ years including 2+ years of supervisory / leadership experience of managing a team size of 25+ people. The candidate should have a fundamental as well as hand-on knowledge of outlined skills as mentioned in the skill summary table below.

KEY Responsibilities
  • Design, install and configure internal and customer facing servers, network devices and firewalls
  • Administer and support core Microsoft and Linux Server environment
  • Expertise level experience on Microsoft identity: Active Directory, Federation service, Microsoft Exchange & Virtualization: VMware, Hyper-V
  • Should be able to plan and perform complex implementation, upgrade and migrations
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
  • Proactively manage and maintain server, network and firewall systems
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
  • Develop scripts for automating client/server functions
  • Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans
  • Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions
  • Define and document best practices and support procedures
  • Continuously monitor the SLA and ensure the incidents are handled within timeline
  • Perform root cause analysis for escalated issues and provide resolution
  • Build an internal knowledge base with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
  • Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
  • Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well as maintenance
Skills and Experience
  1. 3+ years of experience in designing, deploying, supporting and maintaining Windows 2008, 2012, 2016 environments at an enterprise level
  2. 1+ years of Experience on Microsoft Azure / AWS Infrastructure services
  3. 2+ years of supervisory experience of managing team size of 25+ people
  4. Managing full server operating System & Application Lifecycle, Provisioning, Automation and Security
  5. Solid understanding and operational experience with Active Directory, DNS, Microsoft Exchange, IIS, File Server, Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare, Backup solutions
  6. Monitor system logs (logs, IDS/IPS/ Content Filter, Backup Jobs, etc.)
  7. Plan and monitor capacity and availability of IT Systems and IT resources
  8. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Azure. AWS and Office365
  9. Basic knowledge of database systems (MySQL, MSSQL)
  10. Should apply Networking principles: TCP/IP, Routers, Firewalls, Switches, Load Balancers, VPNs
  11. Scripting for administration and automation
  12. Follow ITIL standard practices for incident, change and problem management
  13. Performing DR Drill and ensure Service Continuity
  14. Audit IT infrastructure and publish monthly health report
  15. Maintain Data Integrity and access control
  16. Outstanding analytical and technical problem-solving skills
  17. Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  18. Excellent organizational, time-management and prioritization skills

  2. Microsoft Certified Solution Associate: Windows Server 2016
  3. Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA)
  4. Red Hat Certified Administrator
  5. CCNA
  6. ITIL certification
