The Sr. Systems Administrator (SSA)/ Systems Administrator will be part of the IT Operations team responsible for handling incidents and problem related to the Data Center IT infrastructure including but not limited to Servers, Network, Storage and data systems. The primary data center is located at Los Angeles, USA. Incidents and the requests will be generated via a support ticket, phone call, voicemail or an e-mail. SSA will be responsible for overall health of Data Center IT Infrastructure and ensure to have all incidents / problem resolved as per the SLA. This position requires excellent documentation, mentoring, written and verbal communication skills.

KEY Responsibilities
  • Responsible for supporting day-to-day operations of the systems within the scope of the System Administrators Team (Microsoft’s core business applications / virtual environments built on VMware / Microsoft / Citrix)
  • Provide Level 3 support for Windows servers, and enterprise 3rd party systems
  • Troubleshooting of Windows Servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File / Print Server, Storage
  • Distribute software and deploy software updates using the software distribution system (SCCM) / In-Tune, WSUS
  • Perform routine operational tasks such as managing user accounts and granting access to files, services, applications, and databases
  • Configure and manage Network devices including but not limited to switches, routers, access points
  • Configure and manage firewall (Software and Hardware) and continuously monitor
  • Prepare architecture / roadmap to upgrade IT systems
  • Prepare architecture for IT security
  • Perform routine IT security and compliance audit
  • Prepare IT System plan and perform upgrade and migration
  • Perform vulnerability assessment and report any non-compliances
  • Perform root cause analysis for any incident, problems
  • Monitor the IT infrastructure health and ensure availability of core infrastructure and applications
  • Active involvement in capacity and availability planning
  • Perform daily / routine checks for IT system and report any non-compliances
  • Plan and configure the backup and routinely validate the backup sets
  • Plan, configure and execute DR drills as per the company policy
  • Ensure adherence of change management
  • Ensure all the incidents and requests are registered in the service desk portal and perform routine audit of service desk operations
  • Ensure CMDB is up to date
  • Ensure knowledge base, Standard operating procedure, runbooks are up to date
  • Perform QA of incident, service request and convert the learning into training
  • Drive continual learning program to ensure that team is skilled on the tools, technology and processes
  • Follow set policies and procedures when working incidents/requests and ensure proper hand-offs when required
  • Always maintain a professional attitude and provide excellent customer service
  • Maintain a good work ethic and assist other engineers and department head when needed
  • Prepare monthly performance report of IT system and Service desk operations
  • Ensure to attain to the defined project performance KPI
Skills and Experience
  1. 3+ years of experience in designing, deploying, supporting and maintaining Windows 2008, 2012, 2016 environments at an enterprise level
  2. 1+ years of Experience on Microsoft Azure Infrastructure services
  3. Experience on SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), WSUS, In-tune along with integration experience with AD/Active Directory & Virtualization: VMware, Hyper-V
  4. Solid understanding of and operational experience with IIS, File Server, Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare, Symantec Backup Exec
  5. Support and maintain core Windows Server OS and services including AD, DHCP, DNS, LDAP, ADFS, etc
  6. Knowledge of Windows Event Log Analysis & Remediation, dump analysis
  7. Basic understanding of networking concepts/components such as network switches, wireless access points, routers, TCP/IP, IP routing, Routing Protocols
  8. Hands-on experience on mailing services (Exchange Server, Office365, Lotus Notes)
  9. Basic knowledge of MySQL / SQL Server
  10. Ability and eagerness to learn new products and technologies
  11. Should have strong planning, designing and implementation for IT infrastructure (Data Center Technologies)
  12. Ability to follow established policies and procedures
  13. Good written and verbal communication skills
  14. Ability to multi-task efficiently
  1. Master’s degree (any)
  2. MCSA: Windows Server 2016
  3. Microsoft Certification (Azure / Office 365)
  4. CCNA
  5. ITIL certification
