Cloud Administrator (AWS) is responsible with installing, supporting and maintaining cloud / on-premise server infrastructure, and planning for and responding to performance and availability of the services. The candidate should also be having working knowledge of MSSQL and MySQL Database Management System. The responsibility would include basic tasks like running query, insert, update, delete etc. on MySQL / MSSQL instances. He will also be responsible for backups and provisioning of database instances. Other duties may include participating in calls, performing quality audit, building the knowledge database based on the unique incidents, client engagement and imparting training team. Systems administrator (Cloud) must demonstrate a blend of technical and interpersonal skills.

Duties and Responsibilities


  1. Answer technical queries (both initial and follow up) via phone, the ticketing system, email, IM Chat or rotational basis
  2. Log all issues and resolutions, while working closely with senior desktop engineers and IT management on problem resolution
  3. Communicate with users, explain issues and resolutions, update activity or train on new equipment or software
  4. Perform Windows & Linux Server administration and configuration for performing software upgrades and patches
  5. Install, configure and fine tune cloud infrastructure
  6. Install and configure virtual cloud instances
  7. Perform on-premise to cloud migration
  8. Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
  9. Troubleshoot incidents, issues and outages
  10. Develop scripts for automating client/server functions
  11. Experience on memory management, I/O tuning, configuration, security, networking, clusters and troubleshooting
  12. Work on scheduled tasks / activities
  13. Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
  14. Support cloud servers including security configuration, patching and troubleshooting
  15. Upgrade systems with new releases and models
  16. Backup monitoring and reporting
  17. Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
  18. Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
  19. Provides on-call high priority 24/7 technical support as necessary
  20. Research questions utilizing a variety of resources, including KB / Standard Operating Procedure, senior level desktop support group, supervisor or management
  21. Assist in maintaining an inventory of IT hardware and software assets
  22. Provide clients with step-by-step instructions to users
  23. Escalating IT issues to next level where necessary and keep user informed
  24. Stay updated with system information, changes and updates
  25. Ensure to adhere to client’s compliance and governance standards and report any non-compliances to the manager
  26. Contribute to the technical knowledgebase by adding or editing knowledge articles for consistency and sustainability
  27. Participate & contribute in IT team meetings
  28. Foster professional relationship with all colleagues by listening, understanding and responding to their needs
  29. Promote positive customer service attitude among peers


Skills and Experience

  1. 2+ years of international experience in Experience on Configuration, management and automation of cloud environment (AWS / Azure)
  2. Experience on Configuration /management of Elastic Load Balancers, auto-scaling, Virtual Private Cloud, Routing, cloud database
  3. should have knowledge of Virtualization administration/configuration including HA/DR
  4. Should apply Networking principles: TCP/IP, Routers, Firewalls, Switches, Load Balancers, VPNs
  5. Managing full Cloud Lifecycle, Provisioning, Automation and Security
  6. Scripting for administration and automation
  7. Setting up and administering multi-tier computer system circumstances
  8. Configure and fine-tune cloud infrastructure systems
  9. Monitor availability and performance extent
  10. Monitor effectively charging and cost optimization strategies
  11. Manage disaster recovery and create backups
  12. Maintain Data Integrity and access control
  13. Database management including but not limited to performing DML tasks (Select, Insert, Update, Delete) on databases
  14. Ability to run queries on database server
  15. Monitor availability and performance extent
  16. Adapt at following detailed written instructions
  17. Should follow change management process
  18. Willing to take ownership of tasks through completion
  19. Outstanding analytical and technical problem-solving skills

  22. Should possed 2+ years of experience on supporting Windows server on cloud environment

  26. Ability to multi-task efficiently


  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline
  2. AWS Cloud Practioner
  3. AWS Solution Associate (Architect)
  4. Microsoft Certified Solution Associate: Windows Server 2016
  5. ITIL Knowledge
